The story of Blue Money blues band begins at a New Hope Pa. landmark, John and Peter's, in the Early 1990's.  The story of the players begins long before.  Blue Money delivers a hard driving brand of contemporary-progressive Blues and Blues-Rock - a repertoire of emotional and inspired original songs rounded out with tight arrangements of Blues Classics.

Many people have learned to play music but few are blessed with the gift of natural talent.  Blue Money Guitarist and lead singer Chris Zaic has been blessed with a second language - one spoken through fingers on a fretboard.  Chris has played with Sonny Rhodes, Lonnie Shields, Phil Woods, Blackfoot and many others.  You can hear these experiences reflected in his solos today.

The Bass of Ron Subourne and the Drums of Bill Dimartino anchor the rhythm section of Blue Money.  Ron comes to Blue Money after an eight year run with the Liberty Blues band and years on the road with a virtual who's-who of Rock Legends including Aerosmith, Blue Oyster Cult and Foghat.  Drummer Bill Dimartino has been playing with Chris since their school days in the late sixties and early seventies in Central Jersey.  Bill and Ron provide the incessant groove and backbone for what has become one of the Delaware Valley's most exciting blues-based acts. Guitarist Rick Sowden is the latest addition to the Blue Money lineup, joining the band late in 2005.  An accomplished Jazz-Blues Guitarist and teacher in his own rite, he has played with the Philadelphia R&B Band, the Neighbor's Complaint, original “Blues Brother” Richard T. Bear and many others.  He has studied with the great Larry Coryell, who remains his mentor.  His arranging skills have brought some subtle and interesting changes to Blue Money and his chordings have added a new intensity to the group.

Blue Money's songs and their soulful interpretations of Blues and R&B classics are why "Jersey Style" magazine has called this band "a very exciting and new presence in the Delaware Valley blues scene...a band on the way up".  Blues legend Sonny Rhodes embraced Chris after a gig in Philadelphia and said, "Man, your playing turns me on..." Audiences at clubs and festivals have enthusiastically agreed...
